Twenty-four hours, then gone
TikTok stories disappear on a timer and there is no archive to go back to. Once the window closes, the post is unreachable — not hidden, not private, simply no longer served. If you want a copy, you have to take it while it is live.
Vrootok fetches the story file the same way it handles a normal post: paste the link, get a watermark-free MP4 or image back. Nothing is signalled to the account that posted it — saving a story is not the same as viewing it, and it does not add you to the viewer list beyond whatever happened when you opened it.
Getting a story link
Open the story, tap the share icon, then Copy link. Some accounts turn sharing off; in that case there is no public link and no tool can reach the file. Links also stop working the moment the story expires, so copy and paste in one sitting.
A word on other people's stories
People post to stories precisely because the content goes away. Keeping a private copy for yourself is usually harmless. Reposting someone's expired story, especially without asking, is the kind of thing that ends friendships and occasionally lawyers. Use some judgement.
How to download a TikTok video in three steps
-
Copy the link
In the TikTok app, tap Share on the post, then Copy link. On the web, the address bar already holds the link you need. Short
vm.tiktok.comlinks work exactly like fulltiktok.com/@user/video/…links — SnapTik resolves the redirect for you before it fetches anything. -
Paste it into the box
Open SnapTik, tap the field at the top of the page and paste. Pick the tab that matches what you want: Video for the clip, Audio for the sound on its own, Photos for a slideshow carousel, or Story for a story post.
-
Press Download
You get a list of available files within a second or two. Choose the quality you want and save. On iPhone the file goes to Files and can be moved to Photos with one tap; on Android it goes straight to Downloads or your gallery, depending on your browser settings. That is the whole process. Three steps, roughly fifteen seconds, repeatable as many times as you like. There is no queue, no daily cap and no “upgrade to continue” wall after the third tiktok video download.
