Reduce Unwanted AI Content in Your TikTok Feed

Use feedback controls, keyword filtering and careful source checks while recognising that no setting removes every synthetic post.

Reduce Unwanted AI Content in Your TikTok Feed

Identify what you want less of

Distinguish between useful AI-assisted explanations, deceptive synthetic footage and repetitive content you simply dislike. That makes your feedback more meaningful. A label can provide context, but the absence of a label is not proof that a video is authentic. Look at the account, source and supporting evidence.

Use the controls available to you

Where available, use Not interested on unwanted recommendations. Explore content preferences and keyword filtering in your app's settings. Names and availability can differ between app versions and regions. Follow the settings actually displayed on your device instead of expecting a universal button that hides all AI content.

Be deliberate about interaction

Follow creators you trust and spend time on posts you genuinely want to see. Repeatedly replaying a misleading clip to inspect it can still count as interaction. Avoid engaging with unwanted posts only to argue in the comments if your aim is to see fewer of them. Recommendation systems respond to many signals, not one action.

Check suspicious claims outside the clip

Before sharing a remarkable event, look for reliable reporting or an original source. Reused footage, edited captions and synthetic voices can all mislead. A saved copy can help with private reference, but downloading a clip does not establish that its claim is true. Vrootok is not an authenticity verification service.

Revisit preferences periodically

Use feed refresh or similar options only when your version of the app offers them and you understand their effect. Continue providing consistent feedback afterwards. There is no dependable method that guarantees a feed contains zero AI-generated posts. Better source selection and cautious sharing remain important even after adjusting settings.
